The variation in setting corresponds to differences in role descriptions. For example, in Werewolf, the Werewolves replace the Mafia, Villagers replace Citizens, the Seer replaces the Detective, the Sorcerer replaces Don Mafia, and the Harlot replaces the Prostitute. However, certain roles such as Immortal, Maniac, and Doctor are common to both game types. Custom cards are also available for both variations.
